    Breakfast-6:15-7am
    Lunch-11:15am-12:30pm (one hour later on Sunday)

  • 91,899 meals served between July 1, 2008 and June 30, 2009
  • More than 500 hundred volunteers are involved
  • More than $567,015 in donated food contributed by businesses and individuals

Robert Nixon Free Clinic for the Homeless

  • IFC medical volunteers provided free health care, consultation, medicine and information to 648 homeless persons during 2008-2009 fiscal year
  • Medical clinic held at Community House every Thursday night
  • Mental health clinics at Community House and HomeStart held on Tuesday nights

  • Provide emergency, short and longer-term services to 50 homeless women and children at a time. Please call ahead if you need to stay
  • Designed for greater resident participation in planning services and managing meals and food programs
  • Enhanced by community partnerships for specialized/expert services
  • 174 individuals, including 33 children, stayed at HomeStart during the 2008-2009 fiscal year

  • Provide financial assistance, groceries, and clothing vouchers to individuals and families in need
  • Assist individuals with information about community resources
  • Non-Financial requests (groceries, clothing, IDs, etc.) are handled on a walk-in basis between 9am-11:30am Monday-Friday until all available walk-in slots are full, and on an appointment basis between 4pm-7pm on Tuesdays and Wednesdays
  • Financial requests (rent and utilities) are handled on an appointment basis from 1pm-4pm, Monday-Friday. Please call ahead to make an appointment.
  • Conducted 6,658 interviews for food and other services between July 1, 2008 and June 30, 2009
  • Provided 14,201 bags of food and 761 Holiday Meals
  • Provided 897 households with monetary support for rent, utilities, and other services
